Domina Dairy brings us Newaukum Hill: A farmstead, artisanal, semi-hard cheese from raw, pastured Jersey-Guernsey milk produced in western WA by John Ahmann.  We recently received a sample of this delicious cheese and promptly ordered a wheel to sell!

Art in the Park is August 9!

Join us for a North Portland tradition that is FUN, FREE, and FAMILY-FRIENDLY. When:  Saturday August 9, 3pm-8pmWhere:  Albina Green, the city park next to Cherry Sprout, 722 N. Sumner St.

This creative free-for-all features an extra special musical line up this year, beginning with a kids’ open mike from 3-4pm.  Musicians 18 and under are welcome to come and showcase their talents!  Later in the afternoon, we are proud to bring you some seriously delightful folk music from Edna Vasquez,Michael Hurley and an array of special guests.

We supply blank canvases and non-toxic paint for creative spirits of all ages to make art together!
Albina Green recently underwent some exciting renovations with the generous help of a Portland Development Commission Livability Grant and Art in the Park doubles as a celebration of the park’s revamp this year.  Changes include new edible and native landscaping, and the construction of a beautiful raised seating area that will also serve as a stage for Art in the Park and other community events in the future.Kudos to our neighbor, Anne Greenwood for her visioning which secured the grant for the park improvements and to neighborhood businesses Mountain Top Stone Masonry and EMC Landscaping for their work in the park.

Earth Day Celebration Saturday 4.26 10am to 4pm

Hey Earth Friends!  It’s time to sharpen up your garden and kitchen tools for the season and enjoy an Earth-Centric celebration with your Cherry Sprout pals!

We hope you can make it to our Earth Day Celebration in park next to Cherry Sprout on Saturday, April 26!  Brain Beeson of 1 Sharp Tool Edge Service will be here to sharpen everything from knives and hoes to loppers and food processor blades.  25% of proceeds will go to Living City’s Garden Education Scholarship Fund to help low income kids and adults learn to grow vegetables!

FUN for all ages–music, tasty samples of locally made foods and Hopworks beer, live springtime coloring contest, recording booth for Edible Portland’s Underground Airwaves project and more!

Music begins at High Noon!  Come enjoy the musical stylings of Zacery Stanley, Rachel Freifelder, The Noble Blues, and Mutual Spacematic 

Ever wondered what you can do to help the bees?  Rich Hatfield of the Xerces Society  will present on pollinator-friendly gardening and landscaping at 2pm!

What a night!  Stop in before the show for a FREE wine and cheese tasting from 4:30 to 6:30pm.  We will be tasting a special selections of wines for the holidays and Kate from Full Circle Creamery will be here to introduce us to her delicious transitional organic raw cheddar.
Her raw cheddars are made with certified organic milk from 100% grass-fed Holstein cows that are born and raised on the farm farm where she makes her cheese, the Noris Dairy Scio, Oregon.

Anthem Pear – Bosc and Anjou pears smooth Anthem Cider’s acidity with a soft mouth feel and the earthy roundness only a real ripe pear provides. Semi-Dry. Mild Tart. 5.0% to 6.5% ABV. GLUTEN FREE.

Anthem Hops – Anthem Cider’s tribute to the Northwest’s love of hops, Anthem Hops is a gluten free cider dry hopped with Oregon grown Cascade hops for over three weeks. The result is a light lagerish cider with all the beautiful citrus and floral aromas of Cascade hops with a only slight bitterness on the finish. Shy of Dry. Mild Tart. 10 IBU. 5.5% to 6.9% ABV.
