Greetings Wine Lovers,
It’s been far too long since we have had a tasting and I ran into 3 very special Oregon wines today that I felt I wanted to share with you.
Justine from Drink Think, along with myself, will be hosting a tasting of three wines from her new portfolio. Her focus is working with Northwest Women and Hippy wine makers and, as you will taste today, she has found some fascinating, small producers who are making some very great wines. Due to the small size of these productions, you may not be able to find these wines at many other places around town. So come on in and check these wines out!
I am extremely excited about the three wines that we will be tasting this evening:
From Youngberg Hill Vineyards in Dundee Oregon a 2009 Pinot Noir………”down to earth, grounded…..”
From Agate Ridge Vineyards in the Rogue River Valley their ’09 “Ridge Rock Red”……..showcasing the Primitivo grape varietal
Finally, my favorite, from Slagle Creek Vineyards in the Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon their ’08 Reserve Estate Blend……..”highly structured,
These are brand new wines to the store and this should be a fun and tasty way to kick off your weekend. Tasting will be from 4:30 till 6:30.
Hope to see some of you……………..Till then,
